Children living in Rubongi Village in Eastern Uganda lack access and the financial means to obtain proper dental care. According to FDI, the World Dental Federation, this lack of access to dental care, along with the lack of quality dental materials at an affordable price can lead to a higher risk in oral disease.

Toothbrushes are not available to students living in impoverished communities like Rubongi. Instead, children chew on sticks to clean their teeth. An important aspect of COFIA’s mission to address the whole child, and we know that healthy students are better learners. Good oral health is a part of that healthy whole child equation.

Smile Squared toothbrushes have been distributed in all U.S. 50 states and 24 countries through more than 20 nonprofit partner organizations.

You just gave us one more reason to smile BIG! Thank you Smile Squared!
